What would you give up to have all the money and all the fame you ever wanted? Would you trade your health? How about your appearance? Probably not. But what if you could give up something that your five senses could not even verify existed? Is there really a ‘soul’ in each one of us?
Roger Farmer, a high school Social Studies teacher, is drawn into a scheme to trick humans into signing away their souls. The plan, created by a cagey and deceitful ‘Master’, is really a cover to use this ‘army of souls’ to overthrow those who reign in heaven and replace them with a new ruling dynasty.

Walter Foster, fifteen, had a dream. He wanted to join the circus so he could travel and see the world outside of the family farm. Blessed by good luck, he was taken in by the circus’s bearded lady and ringmaster. He eventually rose from animal pen ‘mucker’ to star tightrope walker. Along the way he met the girl of his dreams, Shelley. Everything was going smoothly until Patricia came into his life jeopardizing this happiness and causing confusion and suffocating guilt.
He sees service during World War II as an entertainer and becomes the father of two boys. His talents and business savvy make him into an entrepeneur sought after by agents representing both domestic and foreign venues. Things seemed perfect.
Perfect until his murder. While his son Ben searches for the killer, Walter appears from a different physical and spiritual plane to help. The search leads them into an assassination attempt on a world learder.
Five hundred thousand American dollars. All yours. No one else knows about it. But that was in 1942. In today’s (2024) money it would be nine million eight hundred and ninety-five thousand dollars. And someone was about to expose it.
Librarians and lifelong friends, Emelia Farmer and Mandy Walsh come across the story behind the money. is it just a legend or is it real? Their detective work leads to the discovery of one body and then a second. That’s followed by a firebombing and a kidnapping. Someone does not want what was found on Atlantic Beach to be made public.
